Cluck N Cleaver looks to Calgary expansion

Seeking 900 to 1,200 sq. ft. with seating

Originally a boutique catering company, sisters Nicole and Francine Gomes launched the Cluck N Cleaver Chicken Shack in Spring 2016 in a freestanding building on Calgary’s 14th St. SW. The menu features the crisp crust and secret spice blend to flavour juicy pieces of chicken. The menu also includes fried pieces and quarter, half and full rotisserie chickens to go, along with fries, biscuits and gravy, salads and drinks, in addition to the chicken sandwiches. The sisters offer cold pieces, along with chicken salad, next to the drinks in the cooler. The chickens are sourced from multiple farms across Southern Alberta and never frozen. In mid-2018, a second Cluck N Cleaver location opened in a ‘store-in-store-format’ at the West Springs Calgary Co-op grocery store at 917 85 St. South West and the chain is now sourcing additional locations in the Calgary market. The immediate focus is on the deep south east quadrant of the City and the Northwest power note of Crowfoot. Future expansion into 2023 will include Edmonton and the greater Vancouver regional district. Michael Kehoe & Monika Blachut at Fairfield Commercial Real Estate Inc. are the exclusive easing representatives for Cluck N Cleaver and notes that street front locations, power centers and grocery-anchored strip centers will be considered with 900 to 1200 square feet with limited seating.
